This would be a really unfortunate one if his name was Richard Hole, especially considering he's from Cumming, Georgia :haha:

You don't leave out the 'i' in those at all. Hiro-shee-ma. Fuk-oo-shee-ma.

Just seen in the Formula Ford race supporting the V8s in Perth this weekend is the Rice Paper Racing entry of Man Ho. A new slant on things.

I mentioned it in another thread a couple of weeks ago, but thought it should be recorded here as well.....

Ricky von Opel, the only Liechtensteiner to drive in F1, in an attempt to keep his motor racing exploits secret from his family, used to enter his early junior career races under the pseudonym "Antonio Bronco".

However the secret did not last long and he soon reverted to racing under his real name.

I was looking through some of the earlier Aussie Touring Car Races, doing some research on Simca, when I saw a driver entered in a French Simca, in the 1962 Armstrong 500 miles (the forerunner that evolved into the Bathurst 1000klms) by the name of Jack Eiffeltower.:haha:
Two Simcas were entered under Eiffeltower Racing, one driven by Jack. They both DNF'd.

Cars #31 and #32

Good chance this was a joke by the hack writing about the event that the unsuspecting wikipedia author didn't get - there were loads of those in some magazines, I recall a Fuji sports car race which listed amongst its finishers the supposedly Japanese driver pairing of Iwanalaya/Wenyapayme! :haha:
