One could argue that Marc Marquez pulled the dead same stunt when he ran into Rossis knee at Sepang.
Though, I wonder what the international reactions would have been if the succesfull youngster would not have been Marquez but named Bradl. *cough*

Hopefully the rules will become the same for everyone regardless of how many followers/facepalm 'friends' they have.
It often does seem that bigger name drivers/riders these days get treated more leniently than lesser profile competitors.
Rules are rules and should be applied equally.
