Single wire fence to keep them separated. They widened the intersection by a tiny margin after the first few races but it stayed pretty much the same until the roundabout was build in 62

Right, going west for something more modern. We are going to Santiago de Chile for their FE tracks.

Click on the layout for a zoomed in view.

Then we head across the Pacific and 80 years into the past, for Japans first racetrack.

In addition I've finally gotten the automatic url change to work, so that you can directly link to a layout. Currently it only works if you view the track page on it's own. Ie like I link above, doesn't work if navigating from the mainpage, yet.
The way it works is the url gets updated to link to the currently shown layout. When you come to the site via that url it shows that specific layout. Should make sharing specific layouts easier.

Most of the htmls need some updates to be fully compatible with the upgrade, for now it only works if you select the year first then the layout in the line below. I'll update the remaining files as I get to them. At worst they have the same functionality as the old ones.

Great work! Just to help you out, it should say 多摩川スピードウェイ

A short one and a long one from the early days.

The 1902 Staten Island Speed trial course, most notable for the Baker Electric Torpedo crash. This one turned out to be a straight up flying mile type of event along a fairly straight piece of road. Only realised that after doing most of the research. Tram tracks to played into the Baker crash are indicated as well.

The second addition is the 1897 Paris-Trouville race. All I could find relating to that race was an extensive write up and a dozen of photos of the start and finish. The map below is what I believe the first for the route of the race.

Very unusual layout for a racing circuit.
