V8SChad a couple of years where they ran races at Yas Marina (2010 and 2011). They used one of the shortened versions of the track.....

I got this one, pretty much everything left of the red shortcut is accounted for.

Working on Barcelona for a few weeks. Took a while before i got satisfied with the results. Will upload it at the end of the week.
I will use the same method for all multi layout tracks.

Great to hear. I've just finished Korea International,they've build up the place. Got a multilayout kart track (I hate doing kart tracks, so many permutations), a motocross track and some other offroad layout which could be Rallycross but their website is Korean only.

For Barcelona i did this when you go to the circuit:

1. it opens with Catalunya.htm. This is the 2007 version. Default is the GP track.
Right below the layout you can choose between the GP, Moto, MX, Club and National circuits.
2. When you choose MX, it opens an MX page with the relative position layout.
Below that layout you can choose between the MX circuit, Flat track and Junior circuit.
3. To go to older versions of these tracks you have to go to the main GP track, which contains also the links to the 1991 till 2006 versions.

This idea i would like to use for all multi layout tracks.

The coming weeks i have not that much time for working on the site, having to spent a lot of time with rehearsing and gigging with my band Abrupt Demise. It will be my farewell tour, because i have decided to quit Abrupt Demise.

I'll try to finish Spain (finally) this weekend. Then Interlagos is next.

I'm about to finish the files for Mexico City, does anyone know if the green section has ever been used in a layout? Or is it just a service road?

I don't know if that is a service road. But it looks like it. Afaik there was not a layout containing that road. Have you checked the google maps view? There it looks very much as a service / local road.

@Michkov: I just posted a reply in the Formula E topic. Now i know that the Formula E circuits are not that long. Maybe the shorter Mexico layout could be used in the Formula E series.

That was a very interesting question Michov. I found this website suggesting it was built in 1959 as a potential circuit layout then never actually used. It was called Circuito Corto.

No, the FE layout uses the Oval with a loop through the stadium.


The picture above is the 59-86 layout of the track. They build the track out of access roads of around sports park, hence the amount of football fields in the area. I just makes it hard to discern what is and what isn't part of the track.

PS: Thanks for the link Paul, looks like it was a little used layout. Plus several I haven't encountered yet as well.
