Hmm, you know.. from the time I saw it, the first thing that struck my mind was Silverstone.

Well I was thinking that....its certainly flat and treeless enough and Silverstone has been changed enough over the years. (Stowe Abbey and Woodcote....)

Or it could be Becketts.. or even Club.. one of those flat out left-handers of the Silverstone of old.

A very famous circuit, newly built in the early 70's. In Europe. Not in Italy.

Hehe, I must say, your clues were slightly misleading.. Nurburgring was given a face-lift in '70 but it certainly wasn't newly-constructed/brand new then as the Ring was made in the early 20s I think.
