No, no, and no, I'm afraid. It's not an Italian circuit. Definitely Europe though.

Donnington in the earlier days? :dunno:

No, not Donington either.

Another clue: it's a very, very famous circuit.

It can't be the Nurburgring can it? Not enough trees and hills about.

Hmm, you know.. from the time I saw it, the first thing that struck my mind was Silverstone.

Well I was thinking that....its certainly flat and treeless enough and Silverstone has been changed enough over the years. :dunno: (Stowe Abbey and Woodcote....)

Or it could be Becketts.. or even Club.. one of those flat out left-handers of the Silverstone of old.

A very famous circuit, newly built in the early 70's. In Europe. Not in Italy.
This was a tough one, well done Rob

My next bet is on Osterreichring. But...

Cheeveer: the photo need not be from the early 1970s....

I think I heard the correct answer already....C'mon guys!

Hehe, I must say, your clues were slightly misleading.. Nurburgring was given a face-lift in '70 but it certainly wasn't newly-constructed/brand new then as the Ring was made in the early 20s I think.
