Anyone playing the DRM Revival mod? If so, how do you rate it?
It is by far my favorite rfactor mod, and I don't think I have had this much fun with any other sim.
In some ways it is a bit "arcade", in the way that the cars have been leveled so that they can compete with each other. The Ford Capri should have more downforce for example. But still, the physics are at least very realistic otherwise and they drive great. rFactor's AI limits its useability but still, one of the best mods for any game ever.
Tons of power, lots of downforce but not "effective" downforce, shoddy tyres, it all adds up for excellent racing.

The GTPC mod for rF is fantastic! Only problem I have with this game now is the force feedback. The only time I know I'm understeering or locking the brakes is if I see the smoke in the mirror. I otherwise feel nothing. Tips? Plugins?

afaik some mods really suffer a brake understeer problem.
The WSC 1970 mod is another mod that comes in mind.
Brian Redman: "Mr. Fangio, how do you come so fast?" "More throttle, less brakes...."
All of them do. Tbh the tyre physics in rF are absolutely awful. It's like sex wearing five layers of condoms. I'm mostly having fun with the Group C 'Junior' cars like the Rondeau and the Alba and the Grid P1 though as so much feel isn't required and they're still quick.
Le Mans 79-86 version with the Group C cars is amazing. The WM P86 hits 230mph on the Mulsanne and takes off going over the hump It's horrid in the corners though. There's also a Rondeau with a Chevrolet engine that produces even more torque than the WM, and it's not a turbo engine so it's so much easier out of the corners. You have to brake so early with it though. Favourite car overall is probably the Lancia LC2.
The F1 and F2 1970s mods looked appealing, but the cockpits look like they came from a SNES racing game so I haven't bothered with them. Immersion is too important to me. It's the same reason I have never bothered with the F1 1979 mod.
Back to the GTPC rFactor mod, I HIGHLY recommend driving the URD C83 at ZolderGTL. It's one of the most fun car/track combinations I've driven and it sounds awesome.
I have signed up for a Sebring 3 hours... with a Rondeau M382. I hadn't tested it before I signed up, talk about a shitbox, lol. Well, that is the beauty of the mods, isn't it? Will try the URD, haven't done that yet! Already have a nickname for it though: "The URD-turd", it isn't a beauty!
