That was a leaked beta! :sorrow:

Recheck my first post...I'm using rFactorCentral's mirrors; they're the fastest so far.

LoL!

I got the torrent from rTracker instead. That was fully functional.

I've spent all afternoon racing at Kyalami with 1979 F1 and in the woods at Lienx. Great stuff. Now Im looking forward to CTDP's 2005 F1 mod and the V8 Supercars.

Yeah, it's fun jumping from the Sauber to the 79's...

79's also function as a late 70's/early 80's USAC mod...

Try out the Michigan VR Speedway from http://www.rfstockcars.com and try to replicate the awesome slipstreaming battles from the 90s. Ive got the GP2 up to 330kph on the straights there nut the AI suck and you got to much grip in the corners.

rFactor is a game that you buy over the internet and then download. You cant find it in any stores that I am aware of.
The lawnmoving mod and the Nordschleife can be found on http://www.rfactorcentral.com.

Mods aside, what's rFactor like compared to GTL?

They should be pretty close in terms of driving...of course, this depends on the developer. There's a "Legends Mod," a historic , GTL-type series with a Ferrari GTO and Shelby Cobra that some prefer over GTL's rougher driving.

The only weak point now is the AI; rF doesn't read the Talent Files in the latest update except in a race, and the oval AI is pretty poor. That's the biggest lacking...Rain is in the works along with spotters for stock cars.

If there ever is a problem, ISI will listen, so will the community...

In the end...it's just plain fun

Looks like we're getting an ISI version of Monza, with every layout plus the banking..
