Round 7 of Kamel GT series at Sebring was this week. Normally the rounds are 45 minutes, but this time it was 60 and thus called for a pitstop.
I do love that the series is doing a thing similar to Classic Lotus Grand Prix, where they run their own historical team/paint distributing system that most series regulars use.
For me, it was a new adventure. Tested the waters last week at Silverstone, where a lap 1 collision with a spinning car ended my hopes of a decent result. But this time, at what has slowly became one of my very favorite circuits, the end result was different. In fact, after starting 3rd and gaining the second place right at the get-go, I finished the GSRC broadcast race winning the GTP class and thus took overall win by about 30 seconds. Granted, some of that gap was because my closest rival had to pit on the last lap for a splash & dash, and because I collided with the leader earlier on and had to claw my way back.
For the record, the collision was a racing incident, and he himself said after the race that he probably slowed down too much for Le Mans corner. I couldn't expect it as I was right behind, but in hindsight it was an avoidable situation. Didn't end either of our races, as he was able to go on and... be involved in a separate, multi-car collision next lap. Felt bad for the guy, as he is usually a good bet for a race win.
Start of the race, courtesy of Jamie Hall:
Probably the most thrilling move of the day for me: Passing Ben Laughter's Audi and Jamie Hall's Nissan for what was then 2nd place. Opportunist move in traffic, but it was relatively safe and worked out well for me.

For those wondering, I'm in #6, and those are two different drivers in the same Silk Cut Jaguar livery.

Another boring donut show, I know; solidified my points lead in the HSO 1988 CART championship with a nervewrecking fuel gamble win at Nazareth!
19 points up with two races left.

After 112 laps at Tamiami Park, I was the last man standing in the hunt for the championship, and won both the race, and the year-long crown!

We get a lot of Ice Hockey on our (Foxtel) cable TV here..... we get a number of NHL games live and all the Stanley Cup games live. We have something called the internet now as well. https://au.eurosport.com/ice-hockey/
On our local Eurosport site we get all the news including such headlines as Fan stabbed in the head, refuses treatment until the game is over
