I obviously needed the break! I'm back right into my old ways though, grumbling that the physics aren't realistic enough and wanting to fiddle with them until they are. Although far more with rFactor than GPL

Hotlap competition in rF anyone?

At TBK, I'm running a hillclimb competition in rFactor, with the GTPC mod! Check it out! The first half of the season was done with another rally mod, but there weren't much interest, so I switched over as soon as GTPC was ready.

I'm back in University at the weekend and I can't take my racing gear with me so I can't really compete in a championship hotlap event

Just enter the current round. Download the stage, set a time, post a screenshot of it, and so you are eligible for points for that particular round!

Back to GPL...I was looking back at my YouTube Channel and found this video I filmed of my mate when he was 16 years old, driving GPL at Silverstone in my house after school. He's now 27, married and living in the USA. Life is flashing before my eyes

Something odd has happened, I jumped into a Lotus 49 at Silverstone and hit a 1:29.88 with my keyboard. That makes me faster than my old benchmark by 0.9s and faster than the GPL Rank benchmark by 1.03s. Happy days!

Down to a 3:26.80 at Spa67 in the Honda. Such fun! Wonder how much faster I could go in the Lotus 49, although the RA300 is hitting 197mph before Masta which is as good as any

The bad news is, of course, that now they've sorted Malmedy out its not as easy to crash into the inside hedge and fall asleep at the wheel whilst the race you were in continues to whizz past you for 20 minutes

Any wheel that's good for sim racing. I'm glad I have my G25 with the shifter. I mainly race with keyboard atm though.
