I hate to think what it must have been like to have been racing (and probably talking with them) and then realised the somebody was actually in need of serious medical help, and you're totally unable to help.

This sort of thing makes me a little sad - i used to race with a guy who is sadly now more well known as Britains first cyber suicide. The majority of people in the chat room just egged him on instead of helping.
