Bioshock

I bought this game when it came out in 2007, played for an hour and never picked it up again. Now I feel really interested in completing it so I can move onto Bioshock Infinite.

Played for an hour last night, it's actually really thrilling :haha: I don't know why I gave up on it so easily. The graphics still seem pretty stunning to me after all this time and much of the dialogue is incredibly well written, especially Andrew Ryan's parts.

Any tips (without spoiling it), comments, opinions?!

Story wise I meant. How far along are you? There is a camouflage tonic hidden in the first third which turns you invisible if you stand still, but its kinda hidden in side room IIRC

I JUST killed Dr Steinman, which is further than I'd ever been before. Killing him was quite a challenge and he's only the first boss! I tend to check every room, every wall for a grate...Don't think I've missed anything so far. I haven't worked out how to buy more places for plasmids though, I gave up my electrify plasmid for Telekenesis.

Ha! Bioshock was a good game.

I got Wolfenstein: The New Order last night 75% off on Steam. Should be fun!

I was 20 when I bought Bioshock. I'm 30 this year. 4 years ago I finally completed the 3rd level. Tonight, I completed levels 4, 5 and 6 and started 7. I don't get why it's taken me 10 years to get this far, when I could probably have this completed by Sunday evening!

I plan to buy one (or all) of the following next: GTA IV Episodes from Liberty City, GTA V, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Resident Evil 7, Dying Light, maybe Hitman (2016), maybe Mirror's Edge Catalyst. Let me know if I should add Wolfenstein to that list eh? ;)

Wolfenstein is good fun, Paul. Make sure you get 'The Old Blood' too. Not as good as 'The New Order' but pretty good.

Another I recommend and recently bought on sale is Metro Last Light if you're into Fallout 4.

Bioshock Infinte was the first Bioshock game I played. The environment, the characters and the storyline was amazing, as well as the powers you gained throughout (Murder of Crows!). But there was something lacking, really. It was too linear. Go here, shoot that, do that, really. But if you haven't already, the story alone makes it worth playing.

You guys made me buy the ps4 collection of bioshock.

From what I understand, there is quite some Art deco style there. I like that.
Never played before. Will do so when I come home on Thursday.

I never liked Bioshock. Sure the graphics are nice for it times, special the water. But then again, every game in the 360/ps3 era had nice looking water. So it looks like, it wasn't so hard to do after all.

Like you Paul, i played this game the 1st time 2013. And after some months i sold it, cause it was so repetitive.
