Bottom post of the previous page:

The track is said to be longer than Spa and the right angles are a bridge, note the order of T1,2 and 3.

Not sure why it's coming up so small. The right bit is clockwise, the left bit anticlockwise.
Track looks like a drunk spider.

By the way, here is how Jeddah will look if the race happens. It was finally released for F1 2021 game. Pretty er...interesting.

Looks almost as bad as Vietnam. It looks to me like they've managed to make a very fast circuit where overtaking will be totally impossible

It is wiggly. Fairly fast also. Looks difficult to pass on. Not sure I like it.

Does it favor Red Bull or Mercedes?

I think we can see our pipe dream of multiple passing areas disappear with this lap simulation.
There is only 1 line around the track from what I can tell.

If you wanted to design as fast a track as possible where it was impossible to pass that would be it 😂

An update gallery of images from Jeddah, posted today on speedcafe.com

Is it ready to go? No but is looking like it wont take more than a good cleanup to be ready. They seem to have got a lot done in the last couple of weeks it has to be said.

Is it F1-like?. No, it all looks a bit grubby, unfinished and very much short of what Bernie would have put up with. Pit lane looks like some cobbled ancient market street.

At least the crowd will be probably onlt amount half a dozen lost and curious goat / camel farmers and their flock. (herd?). The track surface looks a bit dubious and fresh.... I caan see a fair bit of resurfacing work going on on Friday night.

Hopefully no lives were sacrificed in the process. :fingers:

A couple of interesting quotes I found from an article now 2 days old....
the last metres of asphalt were being laid after a delay of a couple of days due to heavy rain( )in the Red Sea port city, a downpour that also alleviated any concern about drainage.
Saudi Arabian Formula One Grand Prix organisers have said they can be proud of their record on construction safety and worker rights as they prepare for the new Jeddah street circuit for a fast looming December debut.
"We're proud to say we're doing what is right under the national regulations and Formula One's strict regulations in terms of making sure worker rights are looked after."
Hmmmm rain delays upset the laying of the final metres of the track. The drains work or so they say..... not so good if you are a migrant worker living in said drainage system. :whistling:  Hopefully authorities have parted the Red Sea or whatever was needed.

Im sure it will be perfect on the day. :dunno:

Safety car paradise innit. Would like to see a bet - which car will complete more laps - SC or mazzypins
