More excited about 2021......but 2019 was hugely entertaining.

TBF there were a number of good races if you look at them as isolated events and not in the championship as a whole perspective.

And as such, the championship went to the deserved.

Merc dominated again when they shouldn't have (far too many Ferrari blunders); and thus, the above sentence. ;)

Maybe Ferrari will get it's sheet together this year (the whole team). :fingers:
Those were the days my friends, we thought they'd never end.....

Is Stockholm Syndrome a thing in Sweden @John / @Cheeveer or is it called something else??
The same, and that bank robbery is well alive in Sweden's collective memory.

OT, back to race cars.

I think most cars will look exactly the same as last year, and I base that on absolutely nothing. Is there even any major changes in sponsorship?

Of course, it's our claim to fame.

Or only claim to fame these days when the Gävle Yule Goat haven't been torched for three years.

I expect a 2019 2.0 Mercedes will stay the ones to beat. Lewis will get his 7th title. Bottas will stay the wingman 9.0 instead of Bottas 3.0. Max will win a few races, same as Leclerc and Vettel.

I'm not looking forward to seeing Lewis break Michael's records. I never thought I'd live to see that happen. I would say it's a 4, hoping that we'd see some sort of upset.

Watching Michael set all those was painful. The record breakers before only beat the record by one or two, but then Schumacher almost doubled some of them. Now Lewis is going to beat all of those too...

I do hope this year is a little more competitive.

Miserable buggers. I'm way more enthusiastic about 2020 than I was 2019.

Eh?

Of course, some of those races were the best of the last five years. Saying that I'll probably be reading this post again in 2023 with absolutely no memory of any of them. The 2019 c'ship as a whole was a dud though.

Going with a 6. Given the fact that personal life has got in the way of my hobbies, it's been harder to follow F1 these past two seasons. But I'll be amped-up come race 1 and in the hope that we get some close racing this year, with the possibility of seeing Mercedes toppled.

I am of the 4 clan.
I believe it will be a repeat of last year. A handful of greatly competitive entertaining races, but the majority will be lopsided run aways by the Mercs.

I agree that 2019 had some of the most exciting races in a long time, but the lack of any significant changes last year or this year has dulled things a bit. Some drivers may change and Alpha Tauri may sport a new livery, but the cars will all look the same as they did last year. The days of new car debuts are long gone with this set of rules.

So I am much more excited about 2021 than I am about 2020. Not to say that it will be worthless, but the level of excitement is lower.
