The "97.8 Billion Barrels of Oil" Grand Prix of Abu Dhabi 2019
FINAL RACE OF 2019. The race has been won by a Mercedes every year since 2014.
My only memories of races here - Michael Schumacher crashing and ending up on top of another car on the first lap, Nico Rosberg flying over the top of a backmarker and into the barrier and Vettel crashing during a safety car period while at Red Bull.
Apparently the race has seen two championships won but I don't remember either of them.

I remember Kimi giving his impression of the track.... stating "the first few turns are quite good, but the rest of it is shit". I can't argue with that

Last year..... (I could swear the Hulk flipping was before last year.)
Vettel Alonso and Hamilton doing donuts I remember. And Kimi breaking down on his final Ferrari drive.

I cant stand the track, there is nothing for me to root for and I got the DTM/SGT crossover special part 2 still to watch. I dont see why I should watch any of this weekends F1?

Even Autosport's latest article says "What is the point of this race?"...

Yeah, I'll give this one a miss (again - that'll be four in a row missed live).
If it was a 10pm start instead of 11:10pm, I'd mildly consider it. But it got Libertyed.

P1 about to start ( in fact it has started) so if you’re doing the pole Championship you just missed out

How typical. Vettel spun it into the wall in the final minutes and did some nice damage to the rear. i think mostly confined to the wheel/suspension and rear wing.

So P1 and Bottas led from Max and Lewis. As PT said Vettel crashed. Also Danny Ric had a big blow up of his engine spreading oil on the track.

P2 and Bottas fastest again despite getting together with Grosjean and bringing out reds near the end.

Oh forgot to mention, Bottas will start rear of grid following an engine change for the event.

Silly incident between Bottas and Grosjean. From the outside views it looks like Bottas’ fault as he dives inside Grosjean from miles back. But after seeing the onboard from the Haas, where you can clearly see Grosjean checking his left mirror and noticeably backing off, I’d say he was at fault.
