5 second penalty for Lewis drops him to 7th and Carlos is on the podium. Off course he has a drs misuse possible penalty over his head which would give the podium to Kimi!!

It's a game of musical chairs. I hope Sainz gets to keep the podium. But if he does, damn shame he didn't get the chance to go up there and spray the champagne.

Granted I was watching over a toddler at the time.. but I didn't really blame Vettel entirely.
Going down a straight, both drivers had plenty of room. If one driver goes to squeeze another, without changing direction suddenly, it's down to the other driver to react. At the same time.. if he doesn't react.. stop moving over.
Really, at this level, this sort of thing shouldn't ever happen, and both drivers should be held somewhat to blame. They both should have seen it coming and avoided it. And that goes triple for team mates.

When only one driver moves over, how can the other driver assume some of the responsibility? This was 100% on Vettel.Circuitmaster wrote: ↑4 years ago Granted I was watching over a toddler at the time.. but I didn't really blame Vettel entirely.

I like how in Exhibit A, at 2:09, Vettel is pointing out his own mental illness. Too bad it's still not been treated.

Is the Redbull chief strategist the first time ever that a woman has received a trophy on the podium of an F1 race?

Can't remember it happening before. What i did love, what that she went on to celebrate it with the lads on the podium. She did a great job getting Max on the top step.

I'm sure I've seen it before. I actually mentioned to my wife today that it happens quite often, and cynically suggested that teams liked putting the women on the podium to suggest better gender diversity within the team.
So.. if it is the first time, I've definitely imagined a few others. I will again be blaming the toddler that I was watching

If you watch the replay carefully, LeClerc does start to move over in reaction to Vettel moving, but they were too close to give him a decent reaction time. So I'm in the 100% Vettel's fault camp also. All he had to do was give it another 10th of a second and he would have been clear of his teammate.kals wrote: ↑4 years agoWhen only one driver moves over, how can the other driver assume some of the responsibility? Charles left a car's width to the outside of the track and did not squeeze the other way. That's the end of his responsibilities. Vettel was trying to squeeze Charles to get a better line into the corner. It didn't work out so well. It's on him.

Great news. So an F1 podium entirely represented by Red Bull’s junior program. Or technically speaking, 2 drivers from Red Bull’s junior program plus Max Verstappen.
