90% chance of rain when I made my guess. Now showing as 80%.

So the footage will start with a shot of three people standing in a sunny pit lane, under blue cloudless skies, all wearing shorts/t-shirts etc.

It'll be so dry that the sky will be a baking orange :P.

I saw one site that said rain (F1.com), the other that said it's all happening after qualifying.

Good luck :).

It's Mexico, if it rains they'll be running a boat race instead of qualifying lol.

@Ian-S by a smidge it looks like, huh?

Haven't seen qualifying, but was it under blazing skies? I assume @TomDA is currently being kept in a rage cage .

1.14.758 is still listed as the official pole time since Max only received a grid drop penalty, so I'm going to take credit for this win until @XcraigX says otherwise

I wonder if there's a rule for such a situation, actually. GTP started before all this modern penalty malarkey.

If it's a grid drop penalty, we might as well treat it as such, same if Max would drop due to an engine change or similar. Max get to keep the pole lap, lap record and the pole position on his CV.

Shows how bonkers the system actually is then if you get pole, but don't.

But I agree, if it's in the record books that way, GTP should treat it that way as well.

If we don't, well, I'm not saying that Craig will get a bomb in his mailbox, but Craig will get a bomb in his mailbox.

Max was officially stripped of his pole... his stats show (on statsf1.com) him as only having one pole in his career. CLAP is shown as being the polesetter and his tally has moved to 7.
