I just got home from the bar, was watching the whole time. I cannot believe how crazy this race has been. Hamilton is down in last. Bottas is in the wall. Leclerc is in the wall. Kvyat and Stroll are in the podium positions. McLaren and then Vettel are next on the road. This is just mental!

i predict: this is the last race of Gasly for RBR. Albon will replace him. Or it happens in the summer break.

Just absolutely fucking incredible. Max is the best driver on the grid, the most likeable. For everything that happened in this race, to see him on top was absolutely incredible. Sorry to all the people who switched it off early thinking this was Hamilton's race.

Until Albon receives a penalty which promotes Lewis to P10.
What a nuts race. Shades of Nurburgring 1999 with so many people making mistakes including the front runners.

Many misjudged the grip (or lack thereof) on the drag strip

Yes and with unforgiving run-off areas and barriers close to the track..Again it's just a little nod to the old style Grand Prix when mistakes were punished. I haven't liked a driver as much as Max since probably Damon Hill in the 90s. Really happy for him and a great win, despite having a 360 at some point in the race.

Hungary is next week so nothing happens before the summer break IMO. But man, Gasly has totally crumbled in the senior team, even Kvyat had better moments despite his issues.

At some moment Albon overtook Gasly!! All the positives of Silverstone are gone!

Since the outcry following the dire French GP there has subsequently been three very good races. Coincidence?

That was an absolutely bonkers event. A shame about DRS robbing us for a few great battles in the end, but still, flippin' awesome race.

Well, they've been in very different ways. Austria was an endurance, Silverstone was about high-speed overtaking, and this was a horror film with some black comedy thrown in (quote of the year right there). It's not like they've all been slapstick.
