Stupid penalty
If ferrari was so fast they would have done at least a second place in 4 races. This didn’t happen. Mercedes is simply doing it smooth, they know when too push and it’s too easy for them. Let me add that ferrari had brought updates to baku but this did not help. Vettel was never a match for the win nor leclerc showed a stunning pace. It’s a technical matter, I tell you, put your sould in peace that this championship is already over. Mercedes will win againkals wrote: ↑4 years ago
Vettel muffed up in 2017 and 2018, losing titles that he had his hands on. Part of that can be placed at Arrivabene's management but that aspect has now gone yet strategic errors are still happening, then there's the reliability / frailty of the package that showed scary speed in testing.
Melbourne - Power unit dialed back to ensure both cars go to the flag
Bahrain - Vettel spins in wheel to wheel combat (again) and the reliability concerns hit Leclerc while dominating the race
China - Not as fast as Merc but just plain odd pit stop and team orders strategy
Baku - Q2 tyre choice put both drivers at risk, both hitting the wall. Leclerc's crash meant no true challenge for race win
Whatever way you look at it, one team is making mistakes that is costing itself places and points whereas their chief competitor has been near flawless.
I guess ocon was in the motorhome crying alone
exactly.
What options? Bet he can’t wait to be offered a works Formula e drive by Merc for 2020.
