Guess the Pole 2019: Bahrain[+Results]

#1

Post by XcraigX »

The second race is a better test of early season form. The uniqueness of the semi-street track in Australia does not always bring out the best of all the teams. This dedicated track should show us if there is a huge gap to Mercedes or if it was a fluke.

Is that faster than Dijon? I thought that was a sub 1 minute lap.

Edit: Just checked. 1974 Niki Lauda posted a 58.79 in qualifying in the French GP at Dijon. The top 12 were all sub 1 minute. The whole grid of those that qualified was sub 1.01.

Fastest race lap at Dijon that year was Scheckter in a Tyrrell with 1.00.000 (1 minute flat)

Definitely shower than I thought they'd be after practice - I thought my time would be slow even, but all good. Congrats!

This weeks winner is Kals with a time 0.745 seconds away from Chalres Leclerc's pole time of 1:27.866! Great job getting in the range there Kals!
I would imagine this is where Ferrari are applauding themselves for signing Leclerc. It's been years since we had any other names aside from Hamilton, Vettel, Bottas, and Verstappen.

The full results:
