Bottom post of the previous page:

Red Bull management and 'kiss me im chocolate' attitude is the reason I dont like the team. I have no problems with either drivers abilities.

Exactly. The drivers have fans. But I seldom see someone on the interwebs speaking up for the team, like people do for Ferrari, Mercedes or even Alfa Romeo.

Yes. Red Bull Racing never will have the same appearance like Lotus, Ferrari, March, Brabham, Williams, BRM...

I don't have a problem with it, nor did I have a problem with tobacco advertising, but I imagine some authorities will want to take a closer look at this.
I see the negative PR has now led to Ferrari dropping the Mission Winnow brand from their entrants licence. An updated entry list for the 2019 F1 season published by the FIA lists the team’s official name now as reverting to ‘Scuderia Ferrari’. It was previously entered as ‘Scuderia Ferrari Mission Winnow’. It will be interesting to see what is listed in the Albert Park entry list, as I am sure they will have been printed and distribution under way already to the outlets selling programmes.

Last month McLaren announced a new sponsorship deal with tobacco producer British American Tobacco whose campaign ‘A Better Tomorrow’ appears on their MCL34. However, there is no mention in the entry of BAT.... The team is entered simply as ‘McLaren F1 Team’ on the latest FIA entry list for 2019.

Im sure the cars themselves will still feature logos on cars and overalls, but I guess time will tell.

Nothing to do with tobacco but the only other change in the entry lis is that Racing Point have their engines as BWT Mercedes, in line with their BWT sponsor.

Re the above post Ferrari have now dropped all branding and signage of Mission Winnow from the cars and also not on their uniforms and racesuits.. I dont know whether the NIMBYS here who were arcing up about it had any influence.

Well, it got my attention. I'm going to buy a pack of Marlboros and smoke myself to death now.

The last time I changed the brand of cigs due to a motor racing allegiance was when I started to smoke Gitanes back in the Ligier days. By then I had already been through the Marlboro (BRM) stage and JPS. I have not smoked a Marlboro cigarette since Michael joined Ferrari. Even when offered one by friends. I dont smoke much nowadays.

I have just this year stopped buying Shell petrol since they got rid of Kimi. Back on BP again. TBH I dont know who Alfa use for fuel and oil.... cant se a ref. to Shell anywhere on the car.

Screw smoking, that kills. Vaping is the way to go, totally safe. I’m off to buy my new e-cig.
