I noticed that today (at Silverstone) the Haas crew are still sporting team garb with the Whytes Bikes logo on the back.

The fact that this rich garbage still uses Whytes logo, says a lot about the total lack of respect this company has.

Legally Rich Energy doesn’t have to cease using the logo until 16th July. Also they’ve submitted a new logo for approval.

Industry site Formula Money broke the story earlier today that Rich Energy is now called “Lightning Volt Limited,” and that former boss William Storey is out as both director and “a person with significant control.”

This next link goes into the mans history and other businesses. Its like a comedy script.

Interesting thing is it could all be about to start over as Steven Seagal has an energy drink on the market called "Lightning Bolt"!

Not the kind of publicity Haas needs I'm sure. The team is doing really badly of late.

Seeing all this just makes me wish we could go back to allowing tobacco sponsorship.

And see 20 F1 cars covered in post-mortem / autopsy photos of dead smokers? Nah.

Pretty lol that we're celebrating the 20th Anniversary of T-Minus energy drink and are looking at another weird energy drink sponsor.

Maybe we should go even further back when skin magazines and condoms used to sponsor teams?

Not so sure that tobacco did not come before the condom and skin mag sponsorship.... Gold Leaf appeared on a Lotus in I think 1968, and other tobacco brands followed suit. The condom and skin mag sponsorship was not until the mid 1970's (1976) when Durex caused a stir by promoting the 'small family car', namely a Surtees F1. Penthouse Mag appeared on a Hesketh in 1977.
