Former Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone, 89, is set to become a father for the fourth time with wife Fabiana Flosi, according to widespread reports. The billionaire, who is currently in his Brazilian farm north of Sao Paulo as they self-isolate during the coronavirus pandemic, will turn 90 in October – shortly after the baby boy’s July due date.

‘Yes, it is due in the summer,’ Ecclestone – who has five grandchildren and a great grandchild – confirmed to Swiss newspaper Blick on Thursday after the news was first reported by German media. ‘Hopefully he’ll learn to play backgammon soon!’

I'm reminded of this old joke..
An 89 year old man turns up to his doctor for an annual checkup and the Doctor asks him how things are going. He says,"Never better, I have a new 18 yr wife and she's pregnant, we're expecting a child in 6 months, what do you think of that?"

The doctor considers this for a moment and says "Let me tell you a story. I knew a guy who was an avid hunter, never missed a season, but one day he left in a bit of a hurry and accidentally grabbed his umbrella instead of his gun."
The Doctor continued, "He was in the woods and suddenly a grizzly bear appeared right in front of him. He raised the umbrella, pointed it at the bear, squeezed the handle, there was a bang and the bear dropped, dead, in front of him. What do you think about that?" Asked the Doctor.

The old man ponders for a while before realising what must have happened. "I'd say someone else pumped a round into it."
"Exactly!" said the Doctor.

With the talk of running Silverstone in reverse, here's an analysis of all the potential problems that would arise.

Let me guess runoffs aren't configured for that? Knockhill would work if FOM wanted to do that in the UK. Silverstone has the National and South circuit that could realistically be upgraded to host F1, although they are on the short side with just under 3km

Ignoring the safety issues and the possible lack of overtaking places, it looks like a great lap in reverse.

Both heavy braking zones (Vale and The loop) are preceded by high speed corners (Club and Aintree). It would be very easy to unsettle the car under braking and make a mistake on those corners. Copse looks scary in reverse. Becketts into Maggotts still has a nice flow, with each corner getting faster. Can't see it ever happening, though.

Knockhill don't have the infrastructure or anything else required to host a F1 race, the money that would go into upgrading it would be enormous. Not to mention it's 1.5 kilometres too short to reach the mandatory minimum track length of 3.5 kms.

Once there was an argument for Imola to go in reverse too. That would make a lot of sense and also make it a right hander..

Other than Rimini, (The Marco Simoncelli circuit) is there any other major circuit that completely changed direction?

Not that i know of. I know the Buenos Aires and Melbourne were in the opposite direction when it was build.
The Adenau rally uses the Nordschleife in opposite direction.
