Not good news from Grove as Williams try to get over last years disaster. Their car might not be ready for the start of winter testing next week. Williams has confirmed it has abandoned plans to give its 2019 Formula 1 car a shakedown in Spain this weekend prior to testing.
Williams' 2019 car might be delayed, according to Polish media sources.

Sport.pl, which is closely tracking Robert Kubica's return to F1, claims the dead-last-in-2018 British team might need to cancel a scheduled filming day on Saturday.

The report quoted an FIA-accredited engineer as saying: "I do not have good news.

"Williams is very late with the construction of the car."
CONFIRMED

Williams forced to skip first day of Barcelona test

As suggested, Williams will miss the start of Formula 1’s pre season testing on Monday with the build of its car still running late.

Pic of the car without all the shadowing background. I dont dislike it tbh.

Renault makes it for a shakedown at Catalunya.

Renault, who were also in doubt to be finished for Monday must have pulled a few all nighters as they made it to Barcelona, and even managed a shakedown run today.

Danny Ric at Catalunya today in the RS19. (Seems odd to see him in a seemingly white helmet not adorned with Red Bull logos.

I hope Alfa throws the red paint can at their car this year.

I'd be happy with that livery they used on February 14th.

100 mm wider than last year. Maybe looks more because of the increased height, brought in to raise the height of the disturbed air leaving the wing, so it doesnt affect following cars so much.

As for this years regs, for those of us who might be unsure of them, there is quite a good, brief, and easy to understand summary of all the changes and why they have been made on this link.

LIVE: Timing and commentary from F1 testing in Barcelona

https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/arti ... s4MmB.html

Only problem is for me anyway the top two times are blocked by the graphic.

News to date: Kimi and Vettel were the first to log a spin, although Seb managed to continue. He just looped it around exiting the final chicane. He headed into the run-off to turn around, and stayed out to get his run going. Kimi ended in the kitty litter.

Tyre compounds for this season
Pirelli will take three compounds to every race, just like last season. But the colours denoting which tyre is which have changed slightly - with just a hard, medium and soft in action.

For testing, all five compounds are available to the teams - and here is how you recognise them...

Just an update on Williams.... the car is still at Grove so given the transit time for the truck they will be lucky to be on track by early day 2 morning. Williams are being quiet and non committal saying it will be there when it is, but will be as soon as humanly possible.
