Kicking off the nominations
Driver of the year: Overall Lewis, but Seb was pretty mighty at the start of the year
Team of the year: I feel this is a toss up between Force India, Renault and Haas. Gonna go with Haas
Car of the year: Mercedes, but like 2017 Force India should get a mention
Best race of the year: Monza, special mention for Austin
Worst race of the year: UPDATED - Can’t remember, Baku was better than I originally wrote
Overtake of the year: Max around the outside of Kimi at Luffield during the British GP
Surprise of the year: Haas' performance in Australia, Gasly and Toro Rosso in Bahrain
Moment of the year: Hamilton's pole lap in Singapore
Disappointment of the year: McLaren 'Now We Fight' Renault plus special mention to Bottas' strange season
WTF of the year: Race leaders having issues in multiple races... Bottas' tyre explosion in Baku, Vettel in the gravel in Germany and Verstappen hitting Ocon in Brazil
The @John's mongol of the year: Hulkenberg for his attempts to recreate historic events:
Spa 2012
Australia 1994
Quote of the year: Either Hulkenberg "Hanging like a cow" from Abu Dhabi, or Max's reasoning for getting physical with Ocon in Brazil because " he immediately answered 'I was faster than you' and said it with such a smile on his face"
The anything else that deserves a mention of the year: The sheer volume of contact between the top drivers was quite a surprise. I don't remember any other season when there's been so much. Pretty sure Verstappen hit everyone in the field bar the pace car

I can't seem to answer most of these because I simply have no memory of this season once again. I'll tell you what happened at many races 20+ years ago though.
