Alonso is, in my opinion, the strongest rider at the moment. Since 2007 his career has been full of bad luck, too bad!

You make your own luck. Alonso’s last 11 seasons in f1 hasn’t been plagued with bad luck, it’s been plagued by bad decisions.

Yes, albeit some of them are bad in hindsight. I can't really shoot down a guy based on hindsight. He should've done this, shouldn't done that, etc. Shit luck.

And of course, some of them are the result of Alonso being an obnoxious twat at time who no one can't seem to be able to work with.

I agree with John on this one. Honda coming back to partner with McLaren? I may have chosen that one also. The worst choice he made was being a twat in 2007. Had he kept his head, he may have been champion with a very close second in Lewis. He could have stayed at McLaren and dominated just like Lewis is doing now at Mercedes. This single decision in 2007 possibly ruined the rest of his career. The decisions he made since then have been good, but just didn't work out well (Ferrari and McLaren/Honda are both pretty good decisions on paper).

The bad decisions are many and well chronicled. Each one leads to the next. It’s not as if any were isolated incidents.

2005/6 - bitches that Renault aren’t supporting his title bid, signs for McLaren
2007 - expected but didn’t get #1 status at McLaren, then attempts to blackmail team at Hungarian GP
2012/4 - bitches about Ferrari being unable to develop the car to support his title attempts, gets fired and the only ‘top’ team left with any seats available is McLaren
2015/7 - bitches about Honda

His talent and driving ability is one of a kind. His potential is unfulfilled, yet there’s zero shame in walking away with two titles and multiple wins plus many memorable drives.

His attitude and bad decision making though has backed him in to a corner he cannot get himself out of. Like I said, you make your own luck and Alonso’s bad luck is attributed to all his bad decisions...

Or to put it into Alonso speak...
