Bottom post of the previous page:

I'm 32 laps in, not reading this thread yet. Unfuckingbelievable that VET drove into HAMs tyre on purpose. And what's going on with these Renaults?! They're dropping like flies!

It wasn't on purpose. But he did mess it up. Possibly aided by the fact that he was in the middle of a three wide situation, on cold tyres and with a broken wing.

Certainly wasn't deliberate from Vettel, he just floored it out of the corner and didn't realise that Hamilton would need to lift off and avoid Verstappen.

Vettel was just using all the track on exit like you have to do in order to get the maximum exit speed and he was hoping Hamilton would slot in front of him just barely but judged it wrong by an inch or two.

I, also do not believe it was deliberate, however, I think that Vettel had some of the red mist after losing out to both, Verstappen and Hamilton going into turn 2 and it looked to me like Vettel misjudged where his front wing was, clipping both VER and HAM!

I don t think paul meant vettel did on purpose, but instead he was critic of hamilton comment heard on team radio

Not so sure it was not deliberate from Vettel. You figure after he already clipped Verstappen, he would try to be a little more cautious. I would like to think it was an accident, but it sure seems suspect that he clipped both Verstappen and Hamilton’s rear tires with his front wing within 2 corners.

The only thing that made it seem deliberate to me is that he wasn't immediately on the radio calling Max and Lewis and Charlie and the lady who walks his dog a bloody idiot. Most out of character.. and not really consistent with his usual reaction to incidents.

But I think it was an accident. There wasn't much he could gain, unless he could actually retire Lewis and get to the pit stop window with a dented front wing.

It was as deliberate as Jorge Lorenzo falling off the bike to let Dovi through last week.

Not deliberate, but like Jorge falling off a bike it is pretty much the norm.

(sorry, couldn't resist)
