When introduced in 1985 the Australian GP at Adelaide was run to 82 laps, making it the most laps of any circuit during an F1 season.
Not sure if I'm reading this correctly, but as stated above, the Monaco GP ran to 100 laps in the past. Or did I just misunderstand?
I meant in that given season, not throughout the history of F1.

Yes you read correctly..... The last Monaco race to run 100 laps was 1967, the year Bandini died. The chicane was tightened following Bandini's death, and the 1968 race was run over 80 laps.
Back in the early days, up to c 1962 I think, they also had to contend with a 3-2-3 grid (at Monaco) as well!

And to think that Monaco would probably have been safer if they had just scrapped that silly chicane altogether,
McLaren Honda notched up a total of 825 places in grid penalties over the course of their recent 3 season alliance.... that is an average of 14 penalty spots per race in round figures.

The last F1 race held was the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, at the Yas Marina Circuit in the United Arab Emirates on Sunday 26 November 2017. The race started at 5pm local time, or 2am Monday 27 November 2017 in Fiji.

I was aware of this fact but read it recently elsewhere and was reminded. It is worthy of a place in this thread...
The 2008 and 2009 F1 drivers championships were won by a British (English to be specific) driver, (Hamilton and Button) both in a car numbered 22, both powered by a Mercedes engine, and both championships were won at the Brazilian GP, by both drivers claiming 4 points for finishing in 5th position. It was also the first drivers championship for both drivers.
Not likely to happen again, as we only have 20 cars nowadays.... plus only one driver can be #22 given the new 'for life' numbering regime. (I dont think we even have a #22 carrying driver atm.)

Something I just learnt was that in 1997, JV and MS, who were until the final round when MS was excluded, running 1st and 2nd in the WDC, never once during the season shared a podium! Between them they won 12 races and 16 podiums that year.

Sean Bull Liveries has taken all helmets from the 2017 season and made them into 1970's design on a proper 70's helmet. I'd say that pretty much every single one has been vastly improved.
