Ahem, I just bought myself a brand spanking new TV which has all sorts of connectivity possibilities.
Does anyone have a way to get an Acestream going on a proper TV instead of a computer?

HDMI output from the computer into the back of the TV. That's what I do.

Hmmm... PC on the first floor, TV downstairs + ancient pc without an HDMI output

I was thinking more along the lines of streaming apps? Or getting Acestream on my TV?
