Latest post of the previous page:
It was Wednesday, under the sign of Sagittarius (see planets position on November 27, 2002). The US president was George W. Bush (Republican). In that special week of November people in US were listening to Lose Yourself by Eminem. In UK Dilemma by Nelly featuring Kelly Rowland was in the top 5 hits. Gangs of New York, directed by Martin Scorsese, was one of the most viewed movies released in 2002 while Blackwood Farm by Anne Rice was one of the best selling books. On TV people were watching Magpakailanman. If you liked videogames you were probably playing Arthur's Knights II: The Secret of Merlin or Burnout 2: Point of Impact.

Yes, and to think, we started this forum one year later.
If you strike me down I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine.

Huh. I was 11 years old when this forum was made. 12, when I joined places like Tom's forum and crashin.nu for the first time. And boy did it show.
Now I'm a grown man - physically. With beard, some. And hairline that has escaped like a squirrel from a dog. I've been a member here not as long as PT and Jesper and Manfred and the others, but have come to realize that, despite being here less than I want to, it's still a place to come for a chat about racing and some good archive binging.
Thank you for keeping The Fastlane alive.
"Yup, there is no doubt that Joonas marches to the beat of a different drummer. I think his goal may be to be the next Murray Walker."

A very joyous anniversary for sure.

I never thought the Fastlane would be around THIS long, that too with most of the original members. We have all grown older/greyer/balder since then but the vibe here has never changed. It really is a perfect little virtual space for like-minded motorsport aficionados. Thanks to Warren and then Paul for keeping it going.
