Hush you. He's being all poetic and sentimental and it's nice.

John....are you the same 'Jo Fransson' who was part of the GPL community back in 2001/2002?

:haha:

Well if the Many-Faced God will permit you to answer...I think there was a Jo Fransson I was in email contact with around that time regarding the building of an AVUS track for GPL.

Very vague memory.

A man has no memory of an AVUS track. A man tested many semi-finished tracks to please the many-faced God!

I just remembered who it actually was. It wasn't you

There was something else I remembered though. Grand Prix 3 modding?

Till now i am very pleased with the merge. Much more discussion at the board.

That, and GPL. Did a 1993 Indycar carset for GP3, among a few others. Never did much modding in GPL though, never got my head around the track making wizardry. Did a few movies though, with Maverick.

CART 1994 by John Fransson. Guess who made the Penske carshape for your mod? ;)

Ah! So we meet again! Yes, it was probably 1994. Been looking around the web trying to find screenshots of it, or any more details. I was actually somewhat pleased with that one!

I can't even find a download link. I wanted to see when it was, check the credits. Maybe even try it out again. If it was around 2001 I would have only been about 13 or 14. I remember using the GP3 Carshape editor to make the fin stick out of the engine cover.

EDIT: Shit!! I had a disc with screenshots on. I uploaded them here and then binned the disc! And imageshack has deleted them.

Bummer! Would love to see something from that mod again, but browsing 12 year old websites is a tough deal, apparently! Think I released it sometime around 2003-2004.

http://www.grandprixgames.org doesn't have it. Neither their current forum nor their old download site.

Apparently Paul Edmonds converted it to GP3-2000, but I can't find that either. Not even on his own website. I'll keep looking!
