Latest post of the previous page:

They say that the 7th edition of the Rallye Régional de Fayence was won "this afternoon" by the Renault 11, driven by the team Charreton/Hernoux. It was a victory dedicated to the driver who died "yesterday" after he left the track ("lors d'une sortie de route"). His co-pilot who's severely burned ("gravement brûlé") is out of danger ("hors de danger").

The two names mentioned afterwards - Jean Bernard Vitiello + Jacques Carlhier/Carhier/Carrier - are reporters from the broadcaster that investigated about the security measures etc. ("sont revenus sur le circumstances de cet accident, se sont intéressé aux modalités sécurité...")

Thanks for translation!

It's quite sad that news report didn't tell name of deceased driver. I think that we need to search someone who have French autosport magazines such as Echappement. I'll ask Nanni Dietrich as there were some MM.org contributors who cited these magazines to contact with them.

Also, if any of these contributors have new images...
There are a lot of sources on mm.orf that are not available anywhere, and that may contain photos we haven't seen yet.

Ok, I'll ask them.

I've already talked to my friend and active contributor Isbel Quiroz from Argentina a week ago and he revealed that he has some fatalities videos which are missing from YouTube and DarcyF1.com as well as some fatalities photos (including from Argentinean racing magazines). He will share these videos and photos with me later as he need to organize them.

And one more from INA - Antoinette Mangin, Abreschviller hillclimb, 1968:

MM.org states that accident happened in 1973 (http://www.motorsportmemorial.org/focus ... =ct&n=9552), that's untrue, 3rd edition of Abreschviller hillclimb was held in May 1968. And that also means that Patrick Reichrath's crash happened in 1976, not 1981: http://www.motorsportmemorial.org/focus ... =ct&n=9553.

I found news reports of 1976 Abreschviller and death of Reichrath is mentioned in beginning but no pictures of accident. I think that we should correct CPDB entry: http://www.the-fastlane.co.uk/cpdb/cras ... itid1=2610. If it's needed I will record audios for both reports and post there.

1976 Abreschviller hillclimb was also held in May, BTW.

Anything relevant in the audio files? If you think so, feel free to send them to me.

Reichrath's entry is updated with the correct year.

@hollie3sa, could you listen these two audios about Mangin and Reichrath's crashes in previous post?

The only new piece of information is the date of the accident: 01.Jul.1973 ("premier dimanche de juillet"). Mangin was taken to the Strasbourg hospital.

Pretty much the same for Reichrath's accident. The competition was continued. + Results, results, results.

Thanks. It's actually 7 July 1968 for Mangin as video with her crash aftermath was dated by 8 July 1968.

There's another audio about 1992 Rallye de Fayence fatal accident; can you translate it, please?

I hope the magazines he has contain photos.
And that he's willing to send them.

I'm not sure if someone there remembers about our unidentified French fatalities, but still.

I've asked French MM.org contributor Jean-Charles Colombier but unfortunately, he didn't have full collection of Echappement magazines and didn't find some of accidents which I asked him, but promises to continue search.

Yesterday, I registred at Geneanet and found that they have online birth & death indexes for France since late 1960s but only for Premium access. I'll buy Premium only in May as I'll have vacation and lot of free time for research (I've spent 5 hours simply for searching by name of every French racer in my lists), but judging by preview, they have birth & death reports for almost every French racing fatality from 1968 or 1969 (unfortunately, they show only full name, place of birth and place of death) as well as names of several "ghost" drivers who maybe were killed while racing. But after buying Premium, I'll try to find names of people who were killed during 1987 Ronde Leuquoise, 1988 Rallye Charlemagne, 1992 Rallye Pays du Fayence and 1993 Rallye Besancon.

But I'm already grateful to Geneanet as they provide full date of birth for these racers (from genealogy trees and cemeteries):
Jean-Marc Dubois (http://www.motorsportmemorial.org/focus ... =ct&n=1869)
Gérard Nectoute (http://www.motorsportmemorial.org/focus ... =ct&n=9804)
Patrick Maine (http://www.motorsportmemorial.org/focus ... =ct&n=8750)
Martine Besson (http://www.motorsportmemorial.org/focus ... ct&n=12881)
Eric Lora (http://www.motorsportmemorial.org/focus.php?db=ct&n=886)
Hans-Dieter Blatzheim (http://www.motorsportmemorial.org/focus ... =ct&n=1408)
David Taliercio (http://www.motorsportmemorial.org/focus ... ct&n=11433)
Franz Chytra (http://www.motorsportmemorial.org/focus ... =ct&n=8717)

Thank you.

I added several other deceased drivers, who were mentioned in Pilotos Muertos blogspot and who can be killed while racing, including Frenchmen who died in 1992; I have strong feeling that two of them can be drivers who were killed in May 1992 during Rallye de Dunkerque in one of nastiest racing accidents that I found:

Found this French newspaper with two pictures of pretty brutal fatal accident at 1992 Rallye de Dunkerque, where racing car crashed into gas pipeline which exploded after impact. Both drivers were killed and rally was stopped.

Warning - fatal crash

Warning - fatal crash

No MM.org entry. I'll try to found some information, at least, names of unfortunate crew.
I've found some reports on the accident, in the INA website, of course.
Their names should be "Laurent Thilliez" and "Georges Boulanger". I don't know who is what (driver/co-driver).
The names were written in the information box in the INA website.

EDIT: This website:
https://sites.google.com/site/bilsporth ... -1999/1992
Says one of the men was named "Bollengier". I don't know which is right.

And here are some screenshots.
They wouldn't be watermarked, had I done them a year ago.

They also say it was the driver's first rally event.

I'd really like to give you access to INA's archive (basically all the French TVs ever broadcasted, including news reports, races, programmes, etc.), but I fear they might see different IPs associated to my account.
According to My Heritage, correct spelling of driver's surname is Bollengier; he was born in 1956 and died on 16 May 1992 in Saint-Georges-sur-l'Aa, near Dunkerque.

xx.04.1987 - Ronde de la Durance - ???/Eric Lombard (killed)
http://www.motorsportmemorial.org/focus ... ct&n=12390
They say that it happened during some kind of "exibition" before the start of the Rally, and that the driver was killed, while the co-driver was seriously injured:
https://images2.imgbox.com/9e/27/RvOefWhm_o.jpg
About Lombard accident: http://forum-auto.caradisiac.com/sport- ... tm#t365312

As this guy says that it's pity that there's no challenge for co-drivers which named after him, I presumed that he was navigator. Maybe it's actually his fatal accident or another fatality which happened before race. Is report says rally title itself?
I think that I found name of this driver. Ronde Leuqouise is held in city of Toul and was held in 1987 before Tuesday, 21 April (date of news report). Through searching of French Death Index I found that only one person died in Toul during weekend of 18-19 April - Jean-Louis Victor Noel Hardy born 24 December 1945, died on 19 April 1987; driver of same name was in my list of "ghost" drivers for long time with only known year of death - 1987 so I believe that this case is solved. But maybe I need to verify this,
