The final lap of the 2010 Aaron's 312 ended in another example of Talladega's notorious "big ones". While battling for the lead, Jamie McMurray (#88) was tapped from behind by Clint Bowyer (#21), spinning him and setting off a chain reaction behind him. More than a dozen cars were involved, but it was Dennis Setzer that took the worst of the damage. Setzer (#92) rode up on top of the SAFER barrier before tearing into the catchfence; the car momentarily bursting into flames after landing back on the track.
