On Lap 22, Dave Blaney (#93) was sent onto his side after being spun by Hermie Sadler in the tri-oval, collecting Shane Hall (#85) and numerous other cars. Blaney slammed into the wall roof first before coming back onto his wheels and catching fire.
Brad Loney of Colorado Rapids, IA. was taken to hospital complaining of abdomen and neck pains and was treated and released the same day, All other drivers were uninjured.
