1964  ยป Tony Bettenhausen Memorial








On the 26th lap of the race, Bill Horstmeyer lost control of his Kuzma coming onto the main straight. The car flipped end over end multiple times before bursting into flames. Horstmeyer, 34, was rushed to a local hospital, where he died from extensive burns to his body.
