1985  » International Trophy

Description Ferté was on pole for the very first F3000 race at Silverstone, which was held in very wet conditions in March. He got a slow start, but eventually regained 2nd and then 1st place from Mike Thackwell. Late in the race, he got it all wrong at the chicane and severely damaged the front of his March. Rather than giving up, the determined Ferté reversed back onto the track and continued to a fine 3rd place.
