|Description||Aric Almirola had the race lead coming into the final lap of the race, looking for his first Daytona 500 victory. Heading down the backstretch, Almirola jumped from the bottom line to the top to put the block on a charging Austin Dillon in an attempt to retain the lead. Dillon got against Almirola's bumper, getting Almirola loose and moving him head-on against the outside retaining wall going into Turn 3. Almirola escaped unhurt, while Dillon escaped with his first Daytona 500 win, albeit in controversial fashion.|
